into the woods : women, let's get outside

11.02.2012

i n t r o d u c i n g: a new face-to-face series for my women readers

INTO THE WOODS

this series is for women who:
1) want to get outside but are a little intimidated

AND

2) for women who already enjoy being outside in the mountains.

i will choose a lovely hike for us to adventure on here in the wasatch mountains
for saturday november 17th, and we'll head out together to enjoy a morning in the autumn woods.

if you're a novice outdoorswoman, never fear! i'll email you a list of what to bring,
and, the best part, we'll all be together helping each other read maps (yes, topo maps too),
figure out the best gear for such an occasion, and solving world problems.

if you're an experienced outdoorswoman please come along to assist with all your know-how.

this is going to be absolutely fantastic.
as the series progresses we'll try: rock climbing, mountaineering, cross-country skiing, yurting, and more.

to sign up for november's excursion please email me at

ann{dot}whittaker9{at}gmail{dot}com

here's to adventure in the woods!

If I wasn't seven months pregnant, I'd be OH SO tempted to hop a plane and walk along. Can't wait to see and read about it! Such a great idea.

What a wonderful idea! I'll be closer by (Vancouver, BC) next year, so maybe I'll get a chance to come and walk with you then.

Wow, this is great! If only this was happening in my neck of the woods in Rhode Island... Inspiration to organize a group for something like this here:) Good luck and enjoy the adventures.

What a great idea! I wish I lived in your area. I would love to learn all of those skills! I'll be there in spirit! Maybe I'll go out that day and enjoy the autumn nature as well. :)

This sounds so amazingly fun although I wouldn't be able to make it happen this year. Hopefully this will become an annual event!
